Polymer bodies are crowded with each other, resulting in a lack of strong attraction between them. At the same time, the water between polymer molecules is not easily evaporated. That’s why in the bonding process, the thicker the adhesive film, the worse the bonding effect of the glue. Too much glue is applied, and the large amount of glue plays a “filling role” rather than a bonding role. The bonding between objects does not rely on the adhesive force of the glue, but on the “viscosity” of the glue.
Precautions for using plastic glue:
The surface of the plastic adhesive should be clean and dry. Oil stains and other substances can be cleaned with solvents such as gasoline and acetone. Apply the adhesive solution evenly to the surfaces of the two adhesives, wait for 3-6 minutes, and align the two adhesives for bonding. Apply a little pressure to make the bonding surface denser, and let it sit for several hours. After 48 hours, it will be completely cured; For materials with high bonding requirements such as metals and hard plastics, tools such as iron sandpaper can be used to roughen them. Two coats of glue (wait for a few minutes after one coat, then apply the second coat of glue, and dry it slightly to close it together) have a better effect.
When 502 glue sticks to your hand, you can try the following methods to remove it. Firstly, you can gently wash your hands with warm soapy water and warm water, and then wipe the adhesive area with lemon juice or vinegar.
